The Banastoir Second And More News

The Banastoir ran a solid race to be second at Perth on Sunday; in a muddling race Blair made a bold move coming out of the back straight but was just run down after the last. Still, this was a return to form for The Banastoir who has had his issues at home and on the track. He should be able to build on this run. Mark and Blair are pictured in the winners enclosure.

At home the woodchip gallop has been topped up with Jenkinsons Equestrian Woodfibre; a woodchip that breaks down rapidly it gives a ride on surface that is ready to be used the next day. Jenkinsons are based in Penrith and they always offer a rapid delivery at a sensible price.

We have had a couple of work experience students riding out and helping on the yard, including Josie Hamilton who is looking to be a vet student and pony racer Tara Stockwell. Both girls have shown a super attitude and we have enjoyed having them with us.

The Horses For Sale page continues to be updated and two have found new owners this week; The Milan three year old from the family of Ad Hoc has been purchased by Rosemary Stobart and will be named Otello Moor, while the Walk In The Park two year old has also been purchased to stay in the yard. Please do have a look at the horses that we have on offer as I feel that they are the best selection that we have had and should include plenty of winners and some class acts.

On the rehoming front, we are delighted to have found marvellous homes for Big Mac, Vertigo, Spoils Of War, Bescot Springs, Superior Command and Momkinzain. We take rehoming very seriously, insisting that all of the homes have references and we like to keep in touch with the progress of the horses.
